This course reviews certain consumer protections that have been enacted either at the federal or state level or within the financial services industry: the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach Bliley (Financial Services Modernization Act), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Medical Information Bureau (MIB), and required authorization forms, such as HIV Consent Forms.
This is a 2-hour continuing education course for insurance producers. This course is approved for credit for licenses in the following lines:
